Beach Zlatni Rat, Brač - Bol

The pebble beach is only half a kilometer long and what is interesting about it is that it changes the shape depending on the direction of the wind. Sounds impossible? This phenomenon makes Zlatni rat beach one of the most interesting in the world.
Beach which is, due to its unbeatable beauty, regularly subscribed to the list of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Pebble paradise

It is 4 km away from town Bol, which is located on the island of Brač. If you travel by car to reach Bol, you can catch a direct ferry line from Split or you can go from Makarska to Supetar, after which you will need about 45 min to reach Bol. You can reach the Zlatni rat by small boats (taxis) or tourist train which runs every 30 minutes.

If too much sun exposure is not an option for you, look for a shade in the beautiful pine forest which surrounds the beach. Since it is one of the world's most famous beaches you can expect bigger crowds, even after the peak of the summer season in Croatia. The beach is suitable for families and kids. There are many lifeguard officers across the beach that will provide additional security.

Near the beach, there are numerous kiosks that offer plenty of food. Near the beach are also many public toilets, and we recommend that you save some coins in your wallet if you need to use them (they usually cost around 10 kunas).

Our recommendation is to visit the beach after 16:00. The sun will be a lot milder, it would be less crowded and it is worth to wait for the sunset which is beautiful here and it provides amazing sights that you should capture with your camera.
