Makarska, Central Dalmatia - Top sights and holiday destinations

The city of Makarska, the center of the riviera, is famous for the Mediterranean spirit on its streets during the Summer, the long strolls along the beautiful beaches along the peninsula and the evening entertainment from the street events and discos. Makarska will show its cultural heritage by leading the visitors through the rocky streets, to the main city square Kačićev Trg where they will feel the city's pulse, and towards the Franciscan monastery, a treasury of the city's history, where you can visit a spacial attraction the Malacological museum.

On Biokovo you will come across a natural cave and shrine Vepric which is often visited in the time of pilgrimages.
The botanic garden Kotišina will surprise you with peacefulness and quietness from which its name must have came from, but adventurers can also find adventure paths for themselves.
