Another season for the Labin Art Republic

The Labin Art Republic is a set of events which, for its two-month duration, takes over the town's streets and imbues a spirit of creativity to Labin.
This year, the art republic will be proclaimed from July 1 to September 1. The opening will be held near the Ethnic museum, where the LAR flag will be raised. From then on, the magic of art will reign supreme. Originating in 2003, the Labin Jazz Festival, the visual theater festival and the Art days are all part of this great manifestation.
In the streets and town squares, in churches and theaters, numerous vocal choirs perform, along with orchestras, folklore groups, as well as actors and musicians. Painting and drama events complement the music and delight its visitors and natives alike with a combination of tradition, art and fun.
All forms of artistic expression are encouraged - from street theater to classical music orchestras. Visitors will also enjoy the unique experience of nocturnal torch-lit sightseeing, run by expert tour guides. Aside from the historical and legendary stories this entails, Labin wins the visitor over with its galleries and ateliers, the foundation of its artsy reputation.
