Beach on The Island of Hvar Awarded a Blue Flag

Island of Hvar has gained yet another important tourist recognition. Fourth time in a row, Vela beach in the town of Hvar has been awarded a Blue Flag. It is awarded every year to those beaches and marinas that meet high standards of environmental protection. On the Hvar Vela beach there has been a continuous effort in environmental protection and a constant improvement of offer for its guests. The beach is situated in a pebble cove in front of Hvar Amfora Hotel, and the part with concrete slab, Bonj, was turned into town bathing place in 20th century during 1930s.
